Well, my name is Derek Luttrell and I’m 30 years old. Originally from the crumbling post-industrial midwestern town of Rockford, IL — I spent much of my 20’s playing shows for depressed old white men, drinking away their sorrows in local bars while grossly hitting on the daughters of other depressed men that serve them drinks. I’ve recently moved to Nashville, TN, and signed a deal with Corporate Panda Records after lending my voice to another artist they were working with called Sickhorse. They offered me a place to stay so that I could focus on writing and recording my new full-length album “The Wolf Who Cried Boy” in early 2020. Everything was done in a home studio setting and produced/engineered/mixed by Zach Staas (Joie De Vivre, Shyteboy), Jason Krunnfusz (PHOX, Fusz), and Daniel Pingrey (Canyon Spells, Daniel Donato), the album was mastered in Milwaukee by Justin Perkins at Mystery Mastering Room. I’ve really enjoyed the way these tunes turned out, and I can’t wait for the world to open up again so we can get on the road and tour on this album.
