DEREK LUTTRELL

Derek Luttrell was born and raised just outside of Rockford, IL — He spent his early years honing his craft as a solo singer/songwriter in local cafes and bars. In 2020 he moved to Nashville, TN, and put out his debut record “The Wolf Who Cried Boy” on Corporate Panda Records. The producers and musicians who worked with Derek loved his songs so much that they couldn’t let him continue to play alone, so they decided to form a band and join him on stages all over the country – Derek Luttrell and the Texas Chain Store Managers hit the ground running and they haven’t looked back since. TCSM never fails to put on a show full of energy and dynamic turns that will have you laughing til you cry and crying til you laugh. Somewhere in between these emotional swings you’ll have a few beers and tip your bartender real well.

Derek’s songwriting has been compared to Townes van Zandt, Steve Earle, and Randy Newman – and while those are some lofty names to be compared to, no one denies it once they experience his live show full of storytelling and thoughtful prose. When playing with his band, the show becomes more rock and roll and has been compared to a young Tom Petty mixed with the irreverence of Ween.  Derek Luttrell and the Texas Chain Store Managers play locally in Nashville throughout the year and tour nationally from spring to fall, so don’t miss a chance to see them when they’re in your area.
